My today’s discussion is on the Verb Definition and Types with Examples in Hindi. I am explaining verb types and forms and its variation. I am explaining the verb definition with examples and verb types and each topic with formulas. Verb definition and types is very important topic for Tense as Present Simple Tense, Past Simple Tense and all tenses.
Verb (क्रिया) Latin भाषा में शब्द Verbum से निकलता हैं | इसका अर्थ हैं, a word (एक शब्द) | Verb से कार्य का करना या होना स्पष्ट होता हैं | कोई भी वाक्य बिना Verb के अपूर्ण हैं, अधूरा हैं | Verb वाक्य का एक महत्तवपूर्ण part हैं | Verb निम्न प्रकार से वर्गीकृत किया जा सकता हैं |
There are two types of verbs.
There are two parts of the main verb.
A. Transitive Verb
B. Intransitive
A. Primary Verbs
B. Modal Verbs
First of all, we study about Main verb and its parts.
ऐसी Verbs जिनके साथ Object प्रयुक्त हो, Transitive Verbs कहलाती हैं | Transitive का अर्थ हैं passing over यानि जिन Verbs में action कर्ता तक ही सीमित नहीं रहकर Object (किसी अन्य वस्तु) पर होता हैं |
Examples:
Ramesh hits a ball.
He rings the bell.
सामान्यतया Verbs से ‘क्या’ या ‘किसको’ प्रश्न करने पर यदि हमें, उत्तर प्राप्त होता हैं तो वह Verb Transitive हैं |
Intransitive Verbs में action कर्ता तक ही सीमित रहता हैं, Object पर pass over नहीं होता हैं |
Examples:
He sleeps in the bed.
Shayam speaks loudly.
इन वाक्यों में Verb; sleepsएवं speak, intransitive verbs हैं, इसमें action कर्ता एक ही सीमित रहा गया हैं | किसी Object पर pass over नहीं हुआ हैं | इन Verbs से ‘क्या’ ‘किसको’ प्रश्न करने पर कोई उत्तर प्राप्त नहीं होता हैं |
Important: अधिकाँश Verbs का प्रयोग Transitively एवं Intransitively दोनों प्रकार से हो सकता हैं |
Examples:
He speaks the truth.
The students rang the bell.
He flies kites.
Sita speaks slowly.
The bell rang loudly.
A bird flies.
Auxiliary verbs को हम Primary Verbs and Modal Auxiliary Verbs में वर्गीकृत कर सकते हैं |
Primary Auxiliary Verbs को तीन भागों में वर्गीकृत किया गया हैं |
A. Verbs ‘to be’: is, am, are, was, were
B. Verbs ‘to have’: have, has, had
C. Verbs ‘to do’: do, does, did
Auxiliary Verbs ‘To be’ (is/am/are/was/were):
Is, am, are का use Present Tense के लिए होता हैं |
I के साथ am helping verb का प्रयोग होता हैं |
He, She, it, Singular के साथ is helping verb का प्रयोग होता हैं |
You, we, they, plural के साथ are helping verb का प्रयोग होता हैं |
Examples:
Radha is my younger sister.
I am a soldier in Indian Navy.
Was, were का use Past Tense के लिए होता हैं |
I, He, She, It, Singular के साथ was का प्रयोग होता हैं |
You, We, They, Plural के साथ were का प्रयोग होता हैं |
Examples:
I was an officer in Indian Army,
She was my younger sister.
We all are Subject in the form of Noun and Pronoun and all subject do work. Work means verb because we do any types of work with the help of our body’s part. In short, when we use our body’ part for doing any types of work, call verb. The main verb is the very important topic for English Grammar and Communication because it increases your vocabulary. So study the verb very attentively.
